Naturfreundehaus Herrenberg in Herrenberg

Very good food! With us the waiting time was about 45 minutes, but everything was freshly prepared. Beverages, food and raw vegetables are all regional products. Baked goods, dishes and salads are homemade. There is a beer garden and a huge parking lot. Nearby is the Schönbuchturm.

Since the new owners (2020) I can only report positive things. Very nice staff. The hygiene rules are well enforced and there is enough space between the tables. The food is also more than decent for a beer garden. When the weather is nice on the weekend, it is usually very crowded here, so there can be waiting times until you get a seat. In the area you can go for a walk or hike. The Schönbuchturm is only 500 meters away and is well worth a detour.

Unfortunately far too expensive and exclusive. Food isn't that screaming. Unfortunately it used to be much better. Simple but good

Very decent beer garden with super friendly service. The hygiene measures are perfect. I feel "safe" here. The drinks and the food also look delicious. Since I haven't eaten anything, I can only judge from the plates at the other tables. Conclusion: definitely take it with you when visiting the Schönbuchturm

We discovered the restaurant here by chance, as we got hungry after visiting the neighboring Schönbuchturm. The intervals and implementation of the corona measures are really exemplary and the food was really delicious. Overall, a very gratifying chance find.

Very pleasant staff very friendly and to our surprise very tasty food. Good quality beer, nothing to complain about.

First visited the Schönbuchturm on Sunday, then ate and drank something in the Naturfreundehaus. Very, very nice. Of course, full as always. But we had time. It is definitely worth a trip.

Schnitzel, sausage salad and consommé were very tasty. The outdoor area is beautifully spacious and spacious with spaces between the tables. The food is ready quickly. There are no waiter staff, instead there is self-service, which is smoothly organized. Corona measures have been integrated into the process and can therefore be adhered to without fuss.

Easily accessible by bus from Herrenberg S-Bahn station. Wonderful hiking trails in the area! Very large beer garden and other areas for relaxing under the trees, self-service meals. The prices are like everywhere in the Stuttgart area. In the past the Naturefriends Houses were cheaper, but back then there were also volunteers ... a long time ago ...

Were with a larger group, 14 people and registered there. Well-organized processes and location in the age of pandemics. A varied menu, "von ellem ebbes" and the food was very good. I can recommend with a clear conscience.

Very clean, great implementation of the hygiene concept. Very friendly staff it is self-service everything is freshly made it takes a while. A huge selection of dishes. I had salad plates with turkey strips. The portions are very large. My husband had schnitzel with fries. Schnitzel are two pieces. Normally priced salad plate 12.90 but huge with fresh bread. We loved it. Thank you keep it up

Very nice, good food and personal

WOW!!!!!!!!! Do you have to say more? Not really, but ok: Great concept of how everything was wound up - a real challenge during Corona times. But the new team did their homework very well. Surrounded by trees, eating becomes a little vacation. You can either drive directly up to the parking lot and then combine this with a hike to and ascent of the Schönbuchturm or stop there directly after a hike in the beautiful surroundings of the Schönbuchwald as a stopover before continuing. And the food in the Naturfreundehaus tastes really great, is not canned, but freshly prepared. The price-performance ratio is also great. Recommended at any time.

Were there at a birthday party .. the Prosecco reception was friendly and attentive. Even in between, no wishes remained open. Top hospitality, the nice gentleman quickly read the wishes of the guests from the eyes. the food was delicious and filling !! Gladly again! Great ambience!

It was renovated very generously, new seating! Hygiene measures are carried out in an exemplary manner! Great notification system when picking up the food! Food and drink great! Fantastic place to relax under the old Trees!

The schnitzel wasn't the mega-hammer and wasn't even homemade. The portion rather little. I was still hungry afterwards. The wasps on the terrace are also very annoying.

Good place in the forest next to the road and the observation tower. Ample parking, lots of space, great choice of food, good service, excellent cuisine. The sanitation is top notch. Highly recommend.

Idyllic beer garden right next to the Schönbuchturm, Waldseilgarten, and Waldfriedhof. New owners, fully renovated, nice dishes.

So finally time and desire for a detour to Herrenberg. The Naturfreundehaus has been under new management since May 2020. The owners also make the high ropes course. Great area to stay here. I chose the sausage salad. Very, very tasty ... a few more impressions

Very pleasant under new management. Great beer garden, good food and very friendly staff. An ideal starting point for tours in the Schönbuch or a visit to the observation tower. And then delicious beer!

At the edge of Schönbuch natural reserve. Quiet spot, easily accessible, decent inexpensive food. Great spot for hikers, bikers.

Wonderful scenery, located in the Schönbuch Nature Preserve, it's a trail head for many of the hikes in the area. Clean, self-serve restaurant with great food; their Matjes is superb. You owe it to yourself to check it out!
